CITY THEFT

DRAPERY STORE ENTERED WOMEN S CLOTHING STOLEN Last night thieves broke into the premises of Snedden’s Ltd., drapers, at the corner of Khyber Pass and Upper Symonds Street. A quantity of women’s clothing was stolen, but this morning it was impossible to estimate the loss as stock had been removed from several of the stands which are in the large saleroom.

The thieves had removed a sheet of iron from the roof in order to gain an entrance to the building. They must have climbed over & wq.ll and a neighbouring roof to reach the premises.
