THREE YEARS’ GAOL
CO-OPERATION WITH CRIMINALS “RECEIVER” SENTENCED Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. In the Supreme Court this morning, James William Falkingham was sentenced to three years with hard labour on two charges of receiving property known to have been dishonestly obtained. Mr. Justice Adams said that Falkingham, while keeping in the background, had joined two well-known criminals, and had not merely acted as a “fence” for them, but as provocateur.
