Keen Sport Is in Prospect
EGMONT WINTER MEETING FIELDS FOR TO-MORROW, (Special to THE SUX) HAWERA, To-day. The winter meeting of the Egmont Racing Club will be concluded tomorrow, and with a fine list of acceptances received at mid-day to-day there is every promise of further keen sport. The track for this time of the year has never been better, and it may be quite as good to-morrow unless rain falls. On their recent efforts, and taking a Ime on their first day’s form, the following promise to be well supported in their engagements: Ngamutu Hack Handicap.— Desert Lad and Miss Mercia. Manawapou Hurdles.— Vexatious and Rahepoto. Adamson Steeplechase. Puwhero and San Fera. Mokoia Handicap. Broad Acre and Silvermine. Short’s Hack Handicap.— Le Champ and Eka.
