BUSY PORT
MANY OVERSEAS VESSELS NEARLY ALL BERTHS OCCUPIED
The week-end will be one of the busiest experienced on the Auckland waterfront for some time. Almost every berth will be oc-
cupfied. In addition to a large number of overseas vessels at present in port, there will b© several arriving over the week-end arfd early next wek.
The overseas vessels in port to-day ar e the Prunus, Kintyre, Wirral, Mamari, Matakana, Baron Pairlie and Nauru Chief. The Tamaroa will arrive to-morrow morning:, and the Tofua. Hororata and Queen Eleanor on Monday morning and the Sussex on Tuesday morning:. These vessels do not include the Union Steam Ship Company's vessels, which come and go nearly every day, and of which several are in port. Neither does it include the fleet of smaller vessels which ply to and from the northern and Bay of Plenty ports and the smaller ports in the vicinitv of the gulf.
The wharves are busy to-day and will be busier next week. From the vast quantity of shipping which periodically comes to Auckland grows the promise of larger wharves which must com Q before very long.
