{XUR own Tom Heeney as a fighter may earn a certain meed of fame, hut as a literary Slighter no kudos yet tags to his name. “This Shakespeare guy says guileless Tom, “is sure by now a proper dead one; these plays that Tunney lectures on are bunk —although I’ve never read one. This college stuff is not the thing for husky guys like me and Tunney; a fighter’s place is in the ring—he takes his stousli and earns his money.’’ So Tom, in choicest Yankee diction, bemoans the taste of champs., like Gene. Maybe he’ll yet learn ’tis a fiction that Tunney’s punch can’t k.o. Heeney!
