TIT AD Roma Bingen kept on the even tenor of her way after passing the six-furlong post in the Bardowie Handicap on Saturday her supporters could not have failed to collect a dividend. Up to this point H. Kinnimonfs ma't was doing good work and was mowing the opposition down in approved style with over half the journey traversed. Just as she was heading the bunch that formed the next division behind the two leaders ah# left her feet, and neither “all the king’s horses nor all the kina'* men could get Roma to settle down again.” When she did become balanced the others were too far in front for the Royal Oak mare to have any chance, and thus another golden opportunity of lifting ■ stake for her painstaking ownertrainer went west.
