ANKLE-LENGTH GOWN CHOSEN BY BRIDE

BURTENSHAW—ROSS A delicate tracery of pearl embroidery lent an added charm to the exquisite bridal gown of shimmering ring velvet in a vellum tint, worn by Joan, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Koss, of Mount Eden, when she was married by the Rev. Jasper Calder at St. Barnabas’s Church, Mount lOden, at 6.30 last evening, to Stafford Redvers, the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Burtenshaw, of Avondale. The delightful wedding frock was gi’acef ully long*, dipping to anklclength, and overfell the misty folds of a prettily embroidered veil of silken tulle, caught with a chaplet of orange blossom. White roses and carnations formed the bride’s bouquet. Mrs. W. T. Nuttall, of New Plymouth, was matron of honour, and wore a charming gown of sheer velvet in a pastel apricot tone. Around the effective uneven hemline striking black embroidery appeared, giving the frock an unsLial distinction. A filet of ribbon was worn in the hair and Mrs. Nuttal completed her toilette with a botiqiiet to match her frock. Miss Mavis Hayward, of Thames, was bridesmaid, and wore an attractive frock of leaf green velvet, made in similar style to that of the matron of honour. She carried a beautiful shower of harmonising flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. John Burtenshaw as best man and Mr. J. Fisher as groomsman. The bride was given d.way by her father.
