YOUNG MAN NOT GUILTY JURY FAILS TO AGREE Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. In the Supreme Court, Charles Arthur Kirk was found not guilty on nine charges of stealing bicycles of a total value of £ 49. It was alleged Kirk had stolen bicycles and taken them to cycle dealers, borrowing money on each one. Evidence of identification was given by dealers, and a bank officer gave evidence as to the handwriting on "LO.U.’s." On one charge the jury -failed to agree and on the others it gave a verdict of not guilty. At the judge’s direction a complete verdict of not guilty was given.
