“TILLY IN THE CITY”

STUDENTS’ PLAY NEXT TUESDAY “Tilly in the City,” the play which will be presented by the Auckland University Students’ Association at His Majesty’s Theatre next Tuesday evening, promises to be the most successful production ever staged by the students. Mr. Kenneth Brampton, who produces for the Little Theatre Society, is directing the production, assisted by Mr. W. J. Crowtlier. He has quite a lot of promising new performers to coach, as well as a number who have already proved their ability to amuse and entertain the public in previous productions of this nature. The student ballet, which is to be a feature of the play, is keenly rehearsing under the guidance of Miss

Marjorie Turner, who has also prepared a number for her own ballet, which will be introduced in the course of the play. The cast, which includes Messrs. W. G. Trevarthen, A. G. Lowe, B. Hutton and Bryce Hart, together with Misses Lloyd, Buckingham, O’Connor and Beryl Nettleton, is probably the finest ever assembled for a university production. The box plan is at Lewis Eady, Ltd.
