NEW REGULATIONS ISSUED NO CAMP IN FIRST YEAR Frees Association WELLINGTON, Wednesday. General Headquarters has issued a statement for the Press in regard to military training. Posting instructions for IJ3B-29 have just been issued and present some new features necessitated by the constantly increasing population. The Territorial Force is over strength, especially in the cities, notwithstanding the attempt ast year to reduce by increasing the physical standard of recruits This year it has been derided to adhere strictly to the peace time establishment and to relieve further the vote, the territorial will not go into camp in his first year. The following changes have becu mu de: Cadets will register as previously at 14, but. except in secondary ichoolw. will not be called up for training till June of the year in which they attain 15. All serving Territorials, except tho*o due to be posted to the reserve, will be classified in various categories according to their height and chest measurement. Cadets eligible for posting to the Territorial Force will be similarly classified. and form both Uie Cadet and Territorial Force. Tha requisite number only will be taken from the highest categories, the remainder being posted to the non-effect-ive list. Territorials in their first year will not be required to go into camp unless they are N.C.Q.’s.
