GREASER WANTS £304,000 ATTORNEY-GENERAL STEPS IN LONDON, Majr 2. Tlie Attorney-General, Sir Thomas Inskip, has intervened, under the Vexatious Actions Act, to prevent Robert Loftus, a greaser, formerly employed on the Federal Steam Navigation steamer Sussex, from continuing his attempts to claim damages for a broken wrist, for which he was compensated in 1919. Since 1922 Loftus has brought 12 actions against the company, and is now demanding The Chief Justice, Lord Hewart. in his judgment, pointed out that Loftus had never paid the costs of any of the dismissed applications, and ordered that he could not institute further proceedings without the consent of the High Court.
