CHURCH VACANCIES FILLED NEW APPOINTMENTS MADE (From Our Oxen Correspondent) HAMILTON, To-day. Archdeacon Cowie has been elected to fill the vacancy on General Synod caused by the resignation of Canon Harvie, and Mr. L. B. Gilfillan to the Standing Committee in place of Mr. O. Farrer, who is in England. Mr. F. Harris has been elected to fill the vacancy on the Diocesan Board of Nominations. The date of the next session of the Diocesan Synod has been fixed for the first week in July.
