NEW ROAD BOARD

MOUNT WELLINGTON MEETING i At the first meeting of the newlyelected Mount Wellington Road Board, held last evening, Mr. G. Kay was elected chairman. The clerk was instructed to forward a copy of a circular sent throughout the district by the Ratepayers’ Association during the prohibited period before the recent election, to the board's solicitor, with instructions to act. The chairman and clerk were appointed to confer with the Commissioner of Crown Lands on the site of the Mount Richmond Reserve, to discuss the future investment of the reserve between the Mount 'Wellington Road Board and the Mount Richmond Domain Board.
