OTAHUHU RECHABITES
JUNIOR TENT FORMED At the Methodist Hall, Otahuhu, on Saturday the Hope of Otahuhu Tent, of the Independent Order of Rechabites, instituted a Juvenile Tent for the benefit of the juniors of the district. The new tent was appropriately named “The Mayflower.” About 54 boys and girls were initiated. A large number of the order were present, including visitors from neighbouring lodges, representatives being present from as far south as Cambridge. The proceedings were in charge of Bro. R. H. Wilson, district superintendent of juveniles, supported by Bro. R. Brodie, district chief ruler. The odes were sung by the members and visitors with much enthusiasm. Bro. Gardner, of Huntly, district guard, conveyed fraternal greetings from the Huntly lodge. After Sister D. M. Nicliolls, chief ruler for Otahuhu, had responded, the proceedings were closed by Bro. Wilson declaring the new tent duly instituted.
