Swimming Records Miss Reni Erkens. Germany’s national swimming champion at 100 metres free style, displayed Olympic rating recently, when she slashed her country’s national record for 200 metres to 2.47 9-10 in a 25-metre pool. This time represents 2.49 for 220 yards, the
exact mark which gained third place in our national indoor title test last year. As Miss Erkrns is a powerful young naiad, well able to carry her speed proportionately over the longei middle distances, there is reason to believe she will prove a rival to be reckoned with in the 400-metre international classic at Amsterdam next summer.
