INTERNATIONAL RACE
WON BY TWO FIATS Further news has reached us in connection with the International Rally of Monaco, in which two 509 Fiats arrived first and second, magnificent show the difficulties the small FW had to fight against. This double victory, still more deserved because the two cars had overcome unusual obstacles for whole of the way, appears still if it is taken into account that d* saloons carried, in addition to the lusgage, four and five passengers. Furthermore the conditions of tw road, in consequence of the bad sttson and the snow storms througbotf the whole of Europe, made the marcof the two heavily-loaded 50S very hard. These cars are powered by engine with a capacity of less tb*£ 1.000 c.c. The difficulties of the journey wert so great that even the Automobile Cnrof Rumania was of the opinion tb»* even a high-powered car would Doha ve been able to finish the hard jo®* ney from Bucharest to Belgrade. But the two indefatigable driver! made their small Fiats race like WP* powered cars, preceding in classify** tion a formidable number of well-P*** pared competitors.
