MANUREWA TOWN BOARD
ESTIMATE FOR WATER SUPPLY The engineer to the Mantirewa Town Board submitted estimates for alternate schemes for the proposed reticulation with water of the Town Board area at last night’s meeting of the board. The estimate for the reticulation of the whole area, including the installation of storage tanks, filters and pressure tower, was £25.121, and for that part of the district to the north of Alfriston and Weymouth Roads only £ 22.010. The town clerk reported that the hospital levy for the ensuing year amounted to ~ 490, compared with £384 last year. The clerk reported that £1.200 was still available in the Great South Road footpaths account, and it was decided that formation work be carried out as expeditiously as the weather would permit.
