COMMANDER DANIEL
NOW WITH “DAILY MAIL” LONDON, May 1. The “Daily Mail” announces that Commander IT. M. Daniel, who was dismissed from his ship as a result of ■ the Royal Oak trouble, is to join its staff. He will contribute articles to that paper and the “Weekly Dispatch.” In addition to his expert knowledge of the Navy, Commander Daniel is interested in subjects ranging from rowing and Rugby to the theatre. He has produced many naval amateur theatri- J cal entertainments, and is the author : of a history of warships bearing the name Valiant. He once won a bet of £IOO by walking from Portsmouth to London untrained within 24 hourc. ;
