SUCCESSES IN AUCKLAND (Special to THE SUN) WELLINGTON, Monday. Results of the State midwifery examinations held on April 3 and 4 include the following: Passed top for New Zealand.—lsobel Sinclair, St. Helens Hospital, Invercargill. Passed with 90 per cent, and over.— Gertrude I. Attridge, Whangarei Hospital; Helen M. Samson, Valeria M. Rawlin s and Jeanie Warnes, St. Helens. Auckland Passed with 75 per cent, and over.— Caroline J. Lees, Whangarei; Myrtle Olsen, Alice L. Atkinson, Olive M. Clark, Dorothy J. Cooper, Cissie Ada Hill, Margaret A. Dewhurst, Mabel I. Mangakahia, St. Helens, Auckland. Successful candidates at the State maternity nurses’ examination include the following:— Passed first for New Zealand.—Elizabeth N. McCombe, Invercargill. Passed with 90 per cent, and over.— Heather M. Cumming, Kawakawa Hospital. Passed with 75 per cent, and over.— Kathleen E. Carlyle, Dorothea E. Jeffcott, Irene A. Eaves, Rene M. Shadbolt, Thelma I. Jaggs, Winifred Searle, St. Helens, Auckland: Isabella E. Greensmith, Thames Hospital; Elsie Caley, Kawakawa; Geraldine C. Cussen, Manganui. The following were also successful, gaining 50 per cent, and over.—Muriel Oollinson, Patricia M. Roache, Gwen I. Underwood and Doris I. Hartley, St. Helens. Auckland.
