SMALL TUBES OF ACID TESTS BEING CONDUCTED A mystery man has just arrives , London from Frankfort, Germany put forward an amazing claimto’,£l proper medical authorities. *** It is a claim which, if subsu.™ ated, will revolutionise medical seie and save millions of lives.
The name of the man is Herr (W I tave Rothe, and he states that •p*' ; 20 years of research work as a d i ist he has evolved a unique method « administering quantities of dieiafj, ant acids—carbolic, sulphuric, hvdriv chloric, etc., far in excess of a t»ni dose to human beings so that iheyi* entirely harmless to the system. *** These doses of acid he claims cm. Tuberculosis, typhoid fever, malm* sclerosis, pneumonia, smallpoxsc? | let fever, syphilis, lupus, dysentwt rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Rothe also says that his trei- : ment is likely to be efficaciooih, cases of cancer and sleeping sickne» His method of heard of quantities of virulent noi ! sons is to concentrate them in SI Ln , capillary containers in such a vat that the raw acids do not affect th« ! body while the full force of their 4i=. infectant properties is released. A prominent official at the Btohd. ton Hospital for Tuberculosis that it has long been realised by doctors that the only stumbling block itheory to the cure of diseases caused by malignant bacteria by means o' acid has been that no preparation cat be found to introduce acid in sufficient quantities into the human body harus lessly. These germs can be destroyed in t test tube with carbolic acid and other disinfectants, and science has searched in vain for the method that Rothe now says he has discovered. It is this fact that makes his claim so remarkable. Rothe made it abundantly clear at the outset that his object in consjne to England is not to commercialise his discovery. It is to invite the closes; investigation of his claims and his treatment from medical men. To this end he is prepared to give free sup. plies of his preparations to doctors. A well-known London physician who is already trying out Rothe’s remedies, declares that he is privately treating a well-known society womai. who for three and a-half years has been confined to the same floor suifering from rheumatoid arthritis. For three weeks his patient has been taking daily no fewer than 150 pills containing acids which, if introduced in any other form, would have been fatal. The number of pills has now been reduced to 70 a day.
The doctor is satisfied that tht health of his patient shows signs o! improvement, and it is possible that she will shortly be able to walk downstairs. He has also treated two patients suffering from colitis with another preparation of Dr. Rothes. "It is too early as yet to make any definite report,” he says, “but one patient is very much better. The other has only been given the treatment for three days, and I am now waiting for a further supply of the preparation. “X am not prepared at the moment to make a definite pronouncement, but Mr. Rothe’s discovery is an extremely interesting one.” The claims of Rothe are now being thoroughly investigated by medical men.
