Too Far In Winter
There is a growing opinion that the distance attached to the Dunedin Birthday Handicap caters for non-existing horses. The club would be wise in its own interests before nomination day to cut the distance from a mile and a half to a mile and three furlongs, or, better still, a mile and a-quarter, comments a Dunedin critic.
