COOPER DEFEATS SAVIDAN

CLOSE STEEPLE FINISH ATHLETICS AT DOMAIN The Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club held the- second meeting » of its winter series of competitions at the Outer Domain on Saturday afternoon. The final of the 75 yards handicap saw J. Green, the Mount Albert Grammar School boy, finish strongly to defeat the veteran Alf. Clarke by inches. In the steeplechase, Savidan and Cooper staged a stirring finish, the latter winning by 15 yards, with Adams third. STEEPLECHASE About One and a-half Miles N. F. Cooper, 9min 22 3-ssec l J. W.
