RING THE CHANGES

COLOURED GLOVES FOR ALL COSTUMES Interesting variations of the novelty glove are being exploited by New York stores. In one glove cuffs on which the colour combinations can be changed, are featured. Two strips of kid are inserted in the cuff, and square cut-outs reveal the inserts. The inserts are coloured in a checked design, alternating black and white, cream and brown, or green and brown. By slightly pulling the inserts at the side the alternate colour shows through the cut-outs. A new phase of the demand is for black gloves, it is stated, on which bright-coloured cuffs are used. Gold and silver meet with approval for trimming. One of the striking new models has cuffs two inches wide of gold kid, with a, Romeo design embroidered in bright colours in the middle of the cuff. Another type in black has flared cuffs with bracelets made of gold kid inserted through small pearl buckles.
