CAPITOL

ADOLPHE MENJOU TO-NIGHT “A Gentleman of Paris,” -with Adolphe Menjou in the lead, is the current offering at the Capitol Theatre. Menjou is a young gentleman who has led a very gay life, but is now engaged to be married. At the reception for his bride-to-be, he gambles for high stakes, and the loser accuses him of cheating. He is searched, and a card found secreted in Ixis sleeve. His prospective father-in-law urges him to commit suicide, and a pistol shot almost immediately after would indicate that he had done so. The pistol shot brings about the dramatic climax of the production and explains the mystery of the hidden card. The second feature on the programme is “Galloping Fury,” starring Hoot Gibson.
