TROTTING APPEAL
FREE ADVICE CASE REFERRED BACK TO CLUB Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. At the New Brighton Trotting Club’s meeting in March. Free Advice finished first and Baron Bingen second in the Eclipse Handicap. An inquiry was held after the race into a complaint of interference, and the judge’s placings were reversed, Baron Bingen being placed first and Free Advice second. McKendrick Brothers, of Auckland, owners of Free Advice. appealed against the decision to the Trotting Association, which referred the case back to the club. The committee of the New Brighton Trotting Club will hold an inquiry into the case on Thursday.
