'THERE is a considerable amount •*- of doubt as to whether the Transport Commission will be able to report its findings by May 26, required by the notice setting up Questions are being asked whether it is May, 1928, or 1929. This is the sixth day of the actual sitting, and the first witness has now been in the box for five days. Several council witnesses, and others from outside local bodies, private bus companies and carriers have yet to be heard. Counsels’ addresses at the conclusion of the evidence will probably occupy two or three days, ar.d after that the commissioners have to reach an agreement and prepare a finding, which, in the light of past experience, wilt take several days to prepare, and a day or two to type.
