STRICKEN DEBTOR

BULGARIA’S REPARATION SUGGESTION OF CONCESSION (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian Press Association) LONDON, Wednesday. In the House of Commons, Lord Newton asked if the Inter-Allied Commission in Bulgaria had recommended the postponment of the next reparation payment, due in October, in view of the recent material losses of that Government. Lord Cushenden, British representative to the League of Nations, said no such recommendations had been made, or at all events had been received, by the British Government. Such recommendation, if made, would not be made to the British Government but to the Reparations Commission in Paris, and therefore it was not really a matter for the decision of the British Government at all. When the true facts were at the disposal of the British Government he felt confident that it was not likely to take an ungenerous view' of any recommendation that might be made.
