To-day’s Recipe
OATMEAL HERMITS PUT two cups oatmeal, one <*P seeded raisins and half rup walnuts through the nincer. Mix together one cup white sugart one cup so/1 butter or good dripping, two well-beaten eggs. Add one teaspoon baking-soda dissolved in six tablespoons sweet milk, one teaspoon each of cinnamon and nutmeg and two cups ilour. Stir in the oatmeal . raisins end nuts. Drop from a dessertspoon , wet ti nth milk, on to the oven-sheet. Bake in moderate oven. Makes about three dozen little cakes.
