WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
HENDERSON BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Henderson branch of the Women’s Institute was held in the Foresters* Hall, Henderson, on Tuesday afternoon, when Miss Geldard presided over a good attendance of members. A letter was read from the president apologising for her unavoidable absence owing to ill-health, and a vote of sympathy was passed. A very enjoyable lecture on Tahiti was given by Mrs. Stuart and musical items were contributed by Mrs. Higginbotham. The prize for the talent competition was won by Mrs. Morris.

Finch, formerly sercetary to the Waipa Hockey Association, has been elected to the presidency unexpectedly rendered vacant. The Waipa Ladies’ Association has been created a separate institution with Mr. C. J- Spiers as president and Miss W. W allace as secretary. PAEROA LADIES’ HOCKEY The Paeroa Ladies* Hockey Club decided recently to affiliate with the Piako Hockey Association. Officers for the season are: Patron, Mr. A. M.
