ADMIRALTY REVOKES WARSHIP’S PRIVILEGE
A century-old privilege whicn enabled the training ship Warspite to fly the Union Jack and blue pendant has been revoked by the Admiralty. Permission to fly these flags was given by Admiralty warrant _o the training ship Solebay, which preceded the Warspite. The view taken by the authorities is that the privilege was extended to the Solebay only, and cannot be claimed by the Warspite In future that vessel is to fly the blue ensign bearing upon it the badge of the ship.
