CURRIE LIBEL DECISION DEFENDANTS TO APPEAL (United P.A.—By Telegraph Copyright) (Australian Press Association.) Kec. 9.5 a.ci. COBURG, Wednesday. The decision of the court in awarding General Sir Arthur Currie £IOO damages for libel against the publishers of the “Port Hope Guide” will be appealed against. Following the verdict, returned men hastily organised a pv#!ie dinner, and held high revels for five hours in an hotel which was christened “this new war college” by the defence counsel. General Currie received a telegram from the father of Private G. Price, the only Canadian killed on Armistice Day, resenting the recalling of distressing memories, and wishing General Currie success in the litigation.
