RELIGIOUS OBSERVANCE (United P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian Press Association.) LONDON, Tuesday. The Archbishops of Canterbury and York, in conjunction with the leaders of the Free Churches, are appealing for the religious observance of Empire Day, May 24. They have invited tho clergy and ministers of all churches at home and abroad specially to refer to “our own people overseas” in their sermons on Sunday, May 20, and to offer prayers for Britons in all lands, “that the British race may bear Christian witness.”
