EDENDALE

“THE LODGER” "The Lodger,” starring Ivor Novejo. the story of a great London mystery, is now being shown at the Edendale Theatre. The plot is concerned with “The Avenger,” a murderer in London who seems to strike against golden-haired girls. The news of the Avenger s latest crime strikes terror everywhere, but nowhere more than among the fairhaired young women of the city. Daisy Bunting, a beautiful mannequin, is beginning to wish she had never been graced with her lovely golden locks. A newspaper boy crying the news of the latest crime sends her hurrying swiftly from the modiste’s shop to her home and the comforting presence of her mother and father.

“A Million Bid,” starring Dolores Costello, is the second feature on the programme.

With the engagement of Addie McPhail, who, in Stern Brothers’ Comedies, is Mrs. Newlywed, Tom O’Brien. Kate Price, Alfred Allen and Bruce Gordon, the cast in support of Bessie Love and Tom Moore in “Has Anybody Here Seen Kelly?” is complete. It is in production at Unversal City under the direction of Willy Wyler. George Sidney. noted stage and screen star, has just been signed for the featured lead in “We Americans.” by Carl Laemmle. jun.. who is supervising this Edward Sloman production. John Boles, another legitimate player, has also been added to the cast.
