PIONEER SPIRIT

BRAVE FAMILY ARRIVES BY HORORATA THE bravest couple on the Hororata, which arrived from Southampton this morning, are Mr. and Mrs. L. Constantine. They have nine children with them, and two sons waiting tnem in Wellington. Seven of the children are girls. Mr. Constantine, who is a foreman carpenter by trade, was born at Duntroon, near Oamaru, South Canterbury, but was taken to England when he was nine years old. His father came out in 1863, to join in the gold rush of that period. The new arrivals are full of hope. They were living in Yorkshire, but thought there were more prospects in New Zealand.
