OTAHUHU FATALITY FIRST DAY AT WORK (From Our Own Correspondent j OTAHUHU, To-day. Commencing work for the first time yesterday morning at the Otahuhu railway workshops Mr. Hugh M. Smith, aged 36 years, was killed in the afternoon, when he fell through a skylight on to concrete 35ft below. Mr. Smith, who was employed by John Chambers and Son. Ltd., was at work on on© of the rafters when he , st his balance and fell through a skylight. He fell about 35ft and when assistance reached him it was seen that oeath had been instantaneous.
