“TILLY IN THE CITY”
STUDENTS' NEW PLAY “Tilly in the City,” the I'niversity Students’ Association’s production this year, is said to be yet another completely original work. The name shows a connection with the author’s tirst production here, and some of the main characters are continued. but there the resemblance ends. The plot proceeds on entirely different lines and in a new setting. The Students’ Association shows, naturally, a marked preference for its own. members when casting its plays, and the large company is almost entirely composed, of students, while the house staff, management, and the like is wholly in the hands of students. Messrs. Trevarthen, Hutton, Bryce Hart, Lowe and others who have figured in earlier productions will again be seen in important parts. For the name part Miss Beryl Jsectleton has been enlisted. The musical director is Mr. Trevor Sparling. He is satisfied that the orchestra and the vocalis :s will do credit to the very attractive music and catch vocal numbers which the author has written. Norman Kerry and Pauline Starke will be the featured players in “Fallen Angels.” the Arthur Somers Roche story which is now in production at Universal City. Ward Crane is also cast in this feature, which Edward Laemmle will direct-
