TWO BIG FEATURES “A Million Bid,” a spectacular story starring: Dolores Costello, is now being shown at the Edendale Theatre. The story is laid in London, Paris and New York, and deals with the terrible predicament of Dorothy Gordon, who, thinking her millionaire husband drowned in a wreck at sea. marries a famous surgeon. But the unexpected happened and her former husband returned from the dead —his mind a blank. If her surgeon husband operated and restored the millionaire’s memory, it would mean an end to her new-found happiness, and a question as to the legitimacy of her child. The supporting cast includes Betty Blythe, Malcolm McGregor, Warner Oland, William Demarest and Douglas Gerrard. The second feature on the programme is “The Lodger,” a tense and dramatic story of a great London mystery, starring Ivor Xovello.
