A WAGE PROTEST COMMISSION WANTED Dissatisfaction with the prices received by workers employed in the manufacture of clothing was expressed at a representative meeting of members of the Auckland Female Clothing Trades Employes’ Union ol‘ Workers, held last evening. The president, Miss Mclntyre, occupied the chair. After some discussion the following resolution was passed: “In view of the prices received by the workers for manufacturing clothing, and the exorbitant prices demanded from the public, this union is of the opinion that the time lias arrived for the appointment of a
Royal Commission by the Government. to investigate the economic position.”
