N.Z. COUNCIL MEETS NO INTER PROVINCIAL SHIELD Press Association. CHRISTCHURCty, To-day. At the annual meeting of the council of the New Zealand Hockey Association a credit balance of £43 was shown, with an accumulated fund at £379. Mr. H. S. J. Goodman was elected president and Messrs. R. Gracie, S. Holland, C. Bellamy, H. Throp, A. F. Preston and I. Gunn to the management committee. A motion to have tournaments for an inter-provincial shield instead of challenge matches was lost. The council decided to recommend the incoming executive to bring an overseas team to New Zealand next year.
