The heat of course was unbearable, and it was only practicable to work for very limited periods alternated with ‘breathing spaces’ in a more pleasant atmosphere. We took scenes at Portland, Weymouth and Portsmouth. Those in the Royal Naval Barracks at Portsmouth represent the first films ever taken there. Some early scenes in the film were also taken at the Royal Naval Training Establisnment at Shotley.” _ __ The players In the film include Moore Marriott, Micky Brantford, Gracie Vicat lan Fleming, Daisy Campbell, Aggie Brantford, Benita Hume, Tom Coventry, A. B. Imeson, Johnny Butt and Alf Goddard. Preceding the British feature, Second to None,” an elaborate descriptive prologue will be staged on the deck of the battleship. Mr. Hilton Porter, baritone, who lias jugt completed the Rose Marie tour, will sing “Drake Goes West,” supported by Miss Cecil Plall’s ballet in elaborate numbers. The entr’acte, “Freedom’s Flag, specially arranged by Mr. Guttridge. is played by the Regent Operatic Orchestra, and Mr. Harvey at the mighty Wurlitzer is heard to advantage in “La Chansonette” and “The Mikado.”
