CITY AND SUBURBS CLUB
The City and Suburbs Club fired the final shoot in the championship series last Saturday at 800 and 900 yards, under perfect weather conditions. Some phenomenal shooting was witnessed, and A. T. Patrick had no difficulty in winning the championship from last year’s winner, H. J. Verrall. The present champion has already captured the B grade championship at Trentham and the South Auckland championship at Waihi this season—a fine record. H. W. Verrall won the B grade championship of the club very easily from G. G. Kelly and I. Spry, who tied for the position of run-ner-up. The R. G. Sellar Cup, for the best average for the season, was won by R. C. Russell with the very fine average of 56.56, the B grade average going to G. G. Kelly. The actual trophy being competed for was won by H. W. Verrall, and silver spoons for the day by J.. S. Oradock and S. Griffiths. Results of the shoot
A team’s match, eight men a side, was won by the City -Club by- 36 points. The Service Championship will be concluded next Saturday.
