SCOTTISH FREEMASONS
JUBILEE CELEBRATION SERVICE AT ST. ANDREW’S The North Island District Grand Lodge of Freemasons under* the Scottish constitution will celebrate its jubilee at a function in the Masonic Hall, Belgium Street, this evening. Representatives from the provincial grand lodge of Scotland and from the district grand lodges under the English and Irish constitutions and from the grand lodge of New Zealand have been invited to attend. A banquet which will be attended by over 300 Masons will be a feature of the evening’s celebrations. Brethren of lodges under the Scottish constitution, in Masonic regalia, attended a special service at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Symonds Street, yesterday morning, when the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, was present. The congregation of Freemasons assembled in the church hall and marched into the church, where the Rev. W. McDonald, district grand chaplain, preached on “The Building of the Temple.” The St. Andrew’s quartet gave special items.
