HOCKEY AT HAURAKI
MEN’S CLUB FORMED (From Our Own CorrespondentJ XGATEA, Friday. Men’s hockey will probably shortly bo added to the many forms of organised sports on the Hauraki Plains. Following the formation of a club at Xgatea arrangements were made last week to form a club comprising many old and experienced players at Kopuarahi if sufficient other clubs were formed to enable a competition to be organised. It was reported that Thames would not have an association this season, but that a club could be formed to take part in a Hauraki Plains inter-club competition If one were organised. There is a movement to form a club in Kerepeehi and the possibility of a similar movement in Kaihere. At Kopuarahi Messrs. J. Miller and H. Kerby, as joint secretaries, have the matter in hand, while the officers of the Ngatea Club axe as follows: President, Mr. J. E. Reid; vice-presi-dent, Rev. E. R. Alexander; secretary. Mr. D. Elliott; committee, these officers and Messrs. K. Clare, J. Shaw and M. Canning.
