AT THE STRAND

STARS OF A CLASSIC .— Dolores del Rio and Rod la Rocque played the leading roles in “Resurrection,” the screen interpretation of Tolstoy's famous novel, which was received by a delighted audience at the Strand Theatre last night. “Resurrection ” is one of the picture-plays of the year. It is a notable contribution to the art of the silent drama. “Resurrection ” was a stage success after being reprinted from the original Russian into almost every European language. It is now a screen success. Dolores del Rio was “found” in Mexico City. Until she went to Hollywood quite recently she had no theatrical experience whatsoever.
