DAIRY PRODUCE CONTROL
IMPORTANT BOARD DECISION (Special to THE SUN) WELLINGTON, Friday. Further developments in the controversy over the question of the Dairy Produce Control Board’s right to demand particulars of all dairy produce shipments from this country were reached at the monthly meeting of the board, held today. A motion by the chairman, Mr. W. Grounds, requesting the Minister of Agriculture to revoke the licences of the factories which have refused to supply information in accordance with the conditions of their licence was defeated. Considerable discussion ensued, and it was finally decided, on the motion of Mr. Corrigan, one of the supporters ol' the original motion, that clauses 6 and 7 of the export licence, so far as they apply to f.o.b. sales outside Great Britain and Europe, be allowed to remain in abeyance for the rest of the season. Members voted as follows: For, Messrs. Goodfellow, Corrigan, Tympany, Reynolds, lorns, Winks, Chapman; against, Messrs. Grounds, Dynes Fulton, Hunt, Bryant and Hine. The original motion was lost by three votes to nine, voting being as follows: For, Messrs. Grounds, Bryant and Corrigan; against, Messrs. W. Goodfellow, Dynes Fulton, W. D. Hunt, W. Tympany, W. A. lorns, T. A. Winks, H. T. Chapman, J. Hine and W. E. Reynolds.
