MR. G. H. ROBERTS DEAD

ONCE LABOUR MINISTER (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian Press Association) LONDON, Wednesday. The death has occurred of Mr. Georg© Henry Roberts, who was formerly Minister of Labour and Food Controller. Mr. George Henry Roberts was born in 1869. He was secretary of the Typographical Association, and on various local bodies in Norwich, where he lived. He was returned as Labour member for that city, 1906-18, and as an Independent, 1918- In 1915 he was appointed a Lord Commissioner of the Treasury, and next year Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade. He was Minister of Labour, 1917-18, and Food Controller, 1919- He was chairman of the National Advisory Committee on the Blind, under the Ministry of Health.
