RICHMOND’S FINAL DAY Three general handicaps will be held to-morrow afternoon by the Richmond Cruising Club for classes H, L#, and N, V and S, and T and Y. All events will start off the Ponsonby Wharf and finish up harbour at Birkdale Wharf. Mr. J. Longbottom will act as starter and Mr. T. L. Thompson as timekeeper and judge. The three-flag system of starting will be employed. The course for all races is as follows: From Ponsonby Wharf, thence round Rona buoy on port hand, thence to finishing line between Birkdale Wharf and red buoy. Entries and handicaps are: H, L, and N Classes, to start at 2.50. —Starlight, scr.; Starloch, Spray, 2m; Why Not, Marere, 8m; Maire, Kokiri, 10m; Winifred, Lovelight, Lomai, 11m; Starlight 11., 18m; Matariki, 19m. V and S Classes, to start at 2.55. Mistral, scr.; Surprise, lm; Wild Wave, Leverette, 6m; Sun. 8m; Atangatai, Sea Sleigh, Manawai, 10m; Tulip, Spindrift, 16m; Phyllis, 22m. T and Y Classes, to start at 3 pm.— Joan, Ngaio, scr.; Romp, 3m: Speedwell, 4m; Manu, 10m; Murex, 11m. Lipton Cup Race The Sailing Committee of the Ponsonby Cruising Club has decided that Valeria (Akarana Yacht Club) and Varuna (Manukau Cruising Club), which sailed a dead-heat in the Lipton Cup contest, shall each hold the cup for six months. A champion flag will also be awarded to each boat.
