GAME-DESTROYERS
PREMIUM FOR KILLING PESTS (Special to THE SUN) WANGANUI, Thursday. “It Is useless spending money on the purchase of game before destroying the pests,’’ said Mr. G. V. Pearce at the annual meeting of the Wanganui Acclimatisation Society. Mr. Pearce said in a few weeks ten weasels had been caught on his property at Waitotara. He thought the rabbit poisoners were doing more harm to the game than to the rabbits, and moved that a premium be paid on hawks, stoats and weasels, the motion being carried.
