RECREATION CLUB

AUCKLAND POWER BOARD Appreciation of the assistance of the Auckland Electric-Power Board was expressed at the annual meeting of the Board Social and Recreation Club, held in the social hall, Quay Street, last evening. The past year was the most successful in the four years’ history of the club, and numerous concerts and social evenings had been held. All the entertainments had proved very popular, and on many occasions the hall had been found too small for the requirements. The year's working showed a credit balance of £ 87. Officers were elected as follow; President, Mr. R. H. Bartley; vicepresidents, all members of the board and heads of departments; chairman. Mr. H. de Wolfe; hon. secretary, Mr. A. J. Dobson; hon. treasurer, Mr. J. Bunn hon. assistant treasurer, Mr. F. Hum?; committee, Misses N. McGrath, K. Street, Anderson and Watts, and Messrs. H. Lowe, T. Heard, C. Brandon, E. Fitzwilliam, A. Harrison, 1). Lvmburn, H. Strong and H. Conchie.
