LIQUOR TRAFFIC
PUBLIC CONTROL URGED LICENSING REFORM ASSOCIATION Press Association. WELLINGTON, Thursday. A meeting of the Dominion executive of the New Zealand Licensing Reform Association, together with the presidents of the provincial branches, was held to-day. It was decided to convey a resolution to th 6 Government asking for the protection of the franchise on the middle issue, and urging the maintenance of the right to vote for some system of public control of the liquor traffic. The association affirmed its intention of continuing to advocate corporate control, and ask for provision for its submission to the electors.
